Register to give a talk at “A Quantum Physicist walks into a bar” event

For Quantum Week at Yale, we invite all students and postdocs to give a 3-minute talk about their research in a fun and relaxed environment. The goal of the event is to explain your work to an audience outside of your field, to show them that what you do is more than killing cats in boxes. This event is organized with the help of the YQI Fellows

Rules

- Your talk cannot be longer than 3 minutes.

- The audience will be a mix of students in and outside of your field, make sure you do not use any jargon.

- You can use a support slideshow with maximum 2 slides, sent to florian.carle@yale.edu by March 27, to be loaded into a single laptop.

- The talks will be split in three categories for undergrad, graduate, and postdocs.

The audience will decide who impressed the most in their explanations, and the best talks will win prizes, including YQI swag, $20 gift card at a local coffee shop, $50 voucher for a dinner in a downtown restaurant, and a $70 gift card! 

All speakers will received drinks coupons to used during the event for non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails and beverages.

Open to all, 21+. Bring Yale ID and government ID

You will be asked to submit your slideshow before March 27
Gryphon's pub requires all its patrons to be 21+, and show a Yale ID and a government ID at the door.
