NSF iCorps Program is launching its first ever National program specialized for Quantum + X innovation
Five-week customer discovery program with a $50,000 award
Apply by June 23rd!
Purpose: Customer Discovery helps innovators better understand the needs of their future customers. It ensures that your innovation has a clear path to a paying customer. Each accepted team will learn how to conduct customer discovery interviews and will complete 50 over the five-week course to inform product development and prepare for a future commercial launch.
Team Requirements:
· 3-person team composed of an entrepreneurial lead (EL), a technical lead (TL), and an industry mentor (IM) (Yale Ventures can help identify an IM for your team.). Teams can include additional ELs and TLs.
· Required: university IP (planned or disclosed), at least one post doc or grad student in the EL role.
· Faculty can join the team –or- simply serve as the PI of record
· No NSF lineage or prior participation in regional iCorps required for this special cohort
Program Requirements:
· Onboarding session: September 9
· Program dates: Sept 15 – Oct 16
· Attendance at all program events, including a three-day, in-person conference (Quantum World Congress) followed by weekly 2 hour virtual sessions and final 1.5 day virtual closing session.
· 50 brief interviews with stakeholders (future customers, end users and decision makers) must be completed during the five-week program
