This job will be part of the Communications Solutions Group, which is responsible for Keysight’s portfolio in the Wireless Data Ecosystem, including wireless devices, operators, internet infrastructure, and Aerospace & Defense. Quantum Engineering Solutions Planner: This is a key strategic role, understanding the product capabilities and features and setting the R&D Strategy.

This position is targeted for a highly qualified experimental physicist who can define the requirements and the priorities of our quantum solutions, e.g. quantum computing solutions, owning the R&D roadmap and guiding the R&D team, in close collaboration with the solution architect and the solution R&D manager. The solution planner gathers, defines and prioritizes the required features and the technical capabilities of the solutions, using his/her own personal expertise as a quantum engineer/scientist with direct user experience, and using also the feedback he/she obtains from external customers. The top responsibility of a solution planner is to make sure that a solution meets the needs of the customers.

Job Qualifications

PhD in Physics in a relevant qubit technology e.g., superconducting qubits (preferred), or similar (spin qubits, trapped ions, etc.)
Good connections with the research community
Must have experimental physics experience in a lab environment (multi-lab experience is preferred) 
Postdoc experience in a few different research groups is desirable
Deep engineering knowledge:
Computer programming expertise (mainly python).
Experience with test and measurement equipment (AWGs, digitizers, etc.)
Microwave and signal processing know-how (phase noise, mixers, IQ modulations, filtering, etc.)
Able to translate scientific requirements into technical specifications for implementation by the solution R&D team
Able to travel to meet customers ( ~25% of the time, both domestically and Internationally)
Good written and oral communication skills
Good presentation skills
Creative team player
