Postdoctoral Position - QuTech Delft

QuTech is now looking for two exceptional postdoctoral researchers to join them in the endeavour of realizing a world wide quantum internet, connecting few qubit quantum processors using long distance quantum communication links. In 2020, they aim to have the first demonstration network connecting several cities in the Netherlands. 

You should become part of their team, if one of the following applies to you:

  • Either, you are an expert in the theory of quantum information
  • Or, you are an expert in classical applied network architecture and routing

You should also satisfy both of the following requirements:

  • You hold a PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or applied mathematics at the time of assuming the position.
  • You have an exceptional track record from your previous projects.

The positions are located at QuTechDelft University of Technology, a world leading institute in quantum technologies. You will join the Quantum Internet Roadmap, working with the theory (software) groups of Stephanie Wehner and David Elkouss. You will also closely collaborate with the experimental (hardware) group of Ronald Hanson.

With the recent award of the NWO Zwaartekracht grant, two theory tenure track positions will open at QuTech. A growth towards such a position is possible.
