Postdoctoral Associate, Rydberg Atom based search for Dark Matter Axions, Yale University

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in the Maruyama Group at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. You will work closely with the members of Profs. Reina Maruyama’s research group and member of Yale’s Wright Laboratory to develop single photon detection using Rydberg atoms to search for dark matter axions. Successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on HAYSTAC.

The group is looking for an applicants who have obtained or is about to obtain a Ph.D. in experimental atomic, nuclear, or particle physics. Those with Ph.D. in related fields with strong interest in the physics or instrumentation associated with Rydberg atoms, cryogenic systems, optics, and quantum systems are also encouraged to apply.
