Postdoc Position in Quantum Circuits - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

We are looking for an independent and highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to perform experimental research on distributed quantum information processing with superconducting and hybrid solid-state quantum systems.

As a postdoc with us you will work within in the newly established NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute for Hybrid Quantum Architectures and Networks within the Chicago Quantum Exchange (CQE) collaboration, and the University of Illinois’ Quantum Institute (IQUIST) [1]. The goal of this center is the realization of interconnected networks between different quantum information hardware platforms [2].
Working at IQUIST and CQE is a unique opportunity for collaborating with world-class experts and engaging in cutting edge research across all areas of Quantum Information Science.

Ideally, we are looking for the following in a candidate:
• PhD in experimental research on solid-state quantum systems (such as circuit QED)
• Strong interest in finding new avenues toward scaling up quantum systems and inventing
new types of quantum hardware
• Eagerness to work in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with graduate
students from multiple labs
• Expertise with microwave circuits and electronics, low-temperature measurements with
dilution refrigerators, and background knowledge in quantum information
If you recognize yourself in this profile and are interested in this opportunity, we are looking forward to hearing from you!
