Join the YPPDO for a presentation by Anthony J. Annunziata, IBM, where he will reflect on his career development and research opportunities at IBM and in industry. Dr. Annunziata received a B.A. in Physics from Colgate University and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Yale University in 2010 with Prof. Daniel Prober specializing in single-photon detectors based on superconducting nanowires. After graduation, he joined IBM as a post-doc research scientist. During his 8 years at IBM, he leaded research projects on nanophysics and material science. He is experienced with technical leadership and business management. He is currently the associate director of IBM Q, a startup inside IBM developing quantum computers for business and science.
