To kickstart the semester, I am delighted to invite you to YQI for a Quantum Coffee Tasting and the presentation of the Fall semester, on Friday, September 1 starting at 12:30 pm.
Our Toronto friends at Quantum Coffee sent us two special blends to try out and Eric Ciolino, our current roaster will make us an entangled roast especially for this event.
Come by YQI after lunch to meet and socialize with your colleagues, taste our very special coffees and some sweets, and a have a preview of the exciting events planned for this semester.
You will also have the chance to meet with Martha W Lewis, YQI very own Artist in Residence for this 2017/2018 academic year. During the residency, Martha will interact with faculty members and students, attend our colloquia and work group meeting, and produce images and graphics to explain the complex concepts of quantum physics. Several open-to-all events will be held during the residency to showcase the graphics produced and explain Martha’s work process.
The event will last until the coffee is gone!
