YQI in the British Isles: two arts and science public events

YQI be in the British Isles to talk art and science at two public events in the series Living in a Quantum State, hosted by the Goethe Institut.  This series aims at fostering dialogue around the use of quantum technologies in today’s society,  through the lens of art.  

If you’ve been tuning into our YQI events remotely from abroad, this might be your chance to meet us in person!

 Entangled - December 7 at 5 pm - Dublin, Irland

Artists, physicists, philosophers and practitioners will come together in the Goethe-Institut Irland, to shine a light on the current landscape of quantum computing and to explore the future of quantum technologies and the arts. The conversations will be followed by a performance from Fehdah and a reception in the library of the Goethe-Institut Irland.

Sounding qubits - December 8 at 7 pm - London, UK

Join us to celebratre the launch of the new book Quantum Computer Music: Foundations, Methods and Advanced Concepts. This book includes the chapter “Superconducting Qubits as Musical Synthesizers for Live Performance” written by former YQI Artist-in-Residence Spencer Topel, Kyle Serniak, Luke Burkhart, YQI Manager Florian Carle, sharing the technical details and a precise description of the composition of the electronic album “Quantum Sound” produced at YQI. This event, which will include a live demonstration and talk by Professor Eduardo Miranda, accompanied by food and drinks.
