YQI hosted its first event five years ago, on October 9, 2014 with a talk by Krysta Svore from Microsoft on Probabilistic Quantum Circuit Decomposition. Since then, the institute has grown to host 60 public events and 70 internal meetings a year, has 23 Faculty members on its board, and spans across 6 departments at Yale.
We celebrated the 5-year anniversary of the Yale Quantum Institute with a quantum party! An assortiment of delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails were served and we made nitrogen ice cream.
