This is an opportunity to work side-by-side with government program managers to track and evaluate the progress of sponsored research efforts performed by leading scientists across the country. Contribute by participating in project site visits, reviewing deliverables, and otherwise evaluating research.

Develop an appreciation for the state-of-the-art in the quantum computing field. Use your valuable expertise to provide in-depth analyses, conduct background research, and interface with the research community at large to evaluate the feasibility of new concepts and help formulate ideas for new research programs. Use your expertise to guide the scientific community through your strategic recommendations to the government program manager.

You Have:

-5+ years of experience with topics regarding the development of a quantum computing platform, including experimental or theoretical qubit design, qubit characterization, qubit fabrication, qubit measurement, or microwave engineering

-Experience in quantum simulation or quantum sensing with superconducting circuits, semiconducting or spin qubits, or ion trapping platforms

-Ability to convey complex technical insights to specialist and generalist audiences

-Ability to commute to College Park, MD and areas around the Washington, DC area

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with scientific computing, including C++ or Python

-Ability to apply expertise across a wide variety of technical problems

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-PhD in Quantum Science, including Physics, EE, or a related field

-Completion of post-doctoral quantum science work in academia or industry
