The CNRS/Thales has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate numerically and experimentally the classification of classical and quantum data using a quantum reservoir neural network implemented on a superconducting circuit. The work will include simulating a quantum reservoir implemented on a small number of transmon qubits, experimentally realizing the equivalent superconducting circuit and implementing learning tasks on both classical and quantum data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantum information processing with superconducting circuits, deep learning and numerical simulations with Python. An interest in neuromorphic computing, nanofabrication and interdisciplinary work are all requirements.
The work will be done at the Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS/Thales, in the « Neuromorphic Physics » team, in collaboration with « Quantum Circuits and Matter Lab » at the Laboratoire des Solides Irradiés at Ecole Polytechnique.
