Postdoctoral Scholar Position – Hybrid Quantum Firmware

The Levenson-Falk Lab in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Southern California is in search of a postdoctoral scholar to lead research on the use of hybrid superconducting qubit hardware and hybrid error suppression techniques in order to create low-error modular unit cell qubits. This project is funded by the NSF for a minimum of 3 years with the possibility of extension. The postdoc will be expected to spearhead this research while serving as a senior researcher and mentor in the lab. The project involves working with at least 2 graduate students and two outside collaborator groups.

Required qualifications: Ph.D. in physics or related field and at least 5 years of experience in experimental lab-scale research. Experience in quantum information science or a related field strongly preferred.
