The Road to Quantum Supremacy
The Google quantum team has recently used a quantum device to run a computational task that would be intractable on a conventional supercomputer. This achievement, known as “quantum supremacy” pulls together years of scientific and engineering developments from throughout the quantum computing community. In this presentation, we will describe the quantum supremacy experiment itself, and will also describe the various elements of electronics, chip design, quantum control, software, and hardware that came together to make the experiment possible.
