Science communication and public speaking is an integral part of the work of a scientist. History is filed with anecdotes of science breakthroughs unused for decades due to poor communication. To give you the tools for effective public speaking, ahead of the March Meeting, Fay Simpson will lead a 4-hour workshop based on her program Lucid Body. This would offer scientists a way to embody the circumstances of a public presentation with a deep visceral truth and to become better advocates of their research.
Space is limited to 20 participants - Registration is required. Participants are required to prepare a two-minute presentation for the workshop.
Fay Simpson has been the Artistic Director and co-founder of Impact Theatre since its creation in 1990.
