Event description:

Are you a student or a scientist at Yale interested in inspiring the next generation of female scientists?  Volunteer for Yale Girls’ Science Investigations (GSI) to teach physics principles to local middle school girls!

Based out of the Department of Physics, the mission of Girls’ Science Investigations (GSI) is to motivate, empower, and interest girls in developing the skills they need to pursue careers in science. GSI will have four themed events in the 2018-2019 academic year. The third session - The Classical to Quantum World - will be held Saturday, February 9th, and we need you! In this session, middle school girls will learn all about particle duality and quantum mechanics - they will participate in hands on activities and hear from dynamic scientists!

Volunteers will be in one of six stations to help run the hands-on demonstration or experiments. Breakfast and lunch are included. See more information below.
