Communicating Complexity: Writing Advice from a Lapsed Physicist
It’s hard to write clearly about complex scientific topics, but anyone can get better at it with practice. In this talk I’ll discuss my path into journalism, my own writing process, and my thoughts on what makes good science writing. I’ll focus mainly on writing for a broad audience, but some of the topics I’ll cover are also relevant to writing clear scientific papers. This talk is for anyone interested in writing or just curious about what science journalism looks like from the inside.
