Here is an announcement from IQC Quantum Innovators Committee regarding the upcoming Quantum Innovators in Science and Engineering Workshop that will be held on September 25-28, 2017.

“We are writing to solicit nominations of outstanding young researchers to invite to a focused workshop being run at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), University of Waterloo. This year is the sixth Quantum Innovators workshop, which will be held September 25-28, 2017. The Quantum Innovators workshop brings together young researchers in quantum information science and engineering and condensed matter physics for a workshop aimed at community building and exploring the frontiers of our field.

The workshop will include plenary lectures from world-leaders in quantum information, while the rest of the program will consist of attendees giving invited talks on their research. There will also be a session of professional development where young researchers from academics and industry describe their experiences.

IQC will reimburse the attendants for travel expenses and provide accommodations.

Please have your nominee(s) submit their CV, talk title and brief abstract (<150 words) by June 21, 2017 on the conference website.
